Can you Pay the Price? (Part 2)

This part is the conclusion of my previous post on this subject. Please read, like and share your comment.

6. Love Money: If you don’t like money, it is doubtful if you will be rich. Please don’t quote me, Jesus said this, “And I say unto you, make to yourselves friends of the Mammon of unrighteousness, that when ye fall, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.” (Luke 16:9). You can see how important this subject is that our Lord and Master talked about this to his disciples. This is because, “Money answered all things.” A word of caution here. Don’t because of this love money to the detriment of your soul. It doesn’t also means that you can do anything to make money. There are both legitimate and illegitimate ways to make money as we all know. We are talking about the legitimate way here. Please don’t get me wrong.

7. Don’t Envy or Hate Rich People: I am sure you want to be rich. If you really want to, don’t hate rich people. Don’t envy them. Don’t have the notion that most rich people make their money through dubious or diabolical means. That would be a wrong assumption. If you want to be rich, value and respect rich people because it’s not easy getting to that level. If you don’t respect or value them, you might not be rich.

8. Buy stocks, shares, bonds and landed properties: Buying stocks and investments is another way to be rich. But you need to invest wisely. I’m sure you saw Matthew Ashimolowo’s post on social media recently how he lost a lot money by investing in shares. If you want to go to this direction, you need to consult experts in that field. Buying properties is good and you will make quick investment on that, but you need to look before you leap. There are some places you will bite your fingers when you invest in landed properties. That is why you still need to consult with properties investors and realtors before you do this.

9. Get Financially Literate: Making money requires a lot of financial intelligence. If you don’t have the financial I.Q, you will soon go bankrupt. The late billionaire and business mogul, MKO Abiola once sent his son, Kola Abiola to Harvard University to study Money Management. This is because he thought of leaving his business empire for his son. But, we all know the story now.

10. Read Biography of Successfully Rich Men: Reading the biographies of successful entrepreneurs would give you the impetus to be rich. You will learn a lot from their success stories and mistakes as well so that you won’t have to make the same mistakes when you started making money. So, reading biographies of them is a good way to start.

11. Give to the poor and needy: Some rich people don’t have any sympathy at all for poor people. These are the shrewd business people who always says, “go and work. I didn’t make it easy. Money don’t grow on trees.” Yes, they might be right. But there should be at least a sort of compassion or empathy for those who are findin average loving difficult. If you are eventually rich, don’t act like this people. Some people are not rich yet, but they are saying, “jist wait until I have money, I will show them.” May God never answer you prayer if that is your thought. God won’t want to give anybody money to oppress other people. If you ha e little, share with those who don’t have. I love Brain Jotter. Recently, he said he is opening a charity channel, “Let’s share the Grace.” This is to assist those who want to do something for themselves. Some other artistes are doing that too. I like what Davido did last year when he asked his fans for support for his birthday. Many would have thought that when did Davido turned a beggar. After gathering all the money, he plowed them back to the orphanage. This is really commendable! The Bible says, “There is he that gathereth and yet scattereth and there is he that witholdeth from more that is meet and tendereth unto poverty. “ (Pro 11:24). Stingy people can’t be rich.

12. Pay your Tithe: There is a lot of controversies surrounding this because of how some pastors have been going about this. But in reality, tithing is God’s command and not that of the Pastor. The Bible says, “The liberal soil shall be made fat; and he that watererh shall be watered also himself.” God expects you to appreciate him after making profit from your business or after earning your salary or gift of (cash) By giving back to the God who gave you the power to get wealth, it means you are acknowledging Him as the source of your wealth. In appreciation of this, God recompense you in multiple folds and start blessing your finances.

13. Build a business conglomerate or empire: I am sure we are all familiar with the quote, “start small, grow big.” When you have managed the little business hat you have started very well, then you can think of expansion. Don’t start having multiple businesses when you your business is still in the teething stage. Dangote did not start big. He started with just one brand, but now have chains of businesses. He has ventured into construction, automobile, dood, education, NGO and many other businesses. It is only when you have expanded your business that you can enjoy real wealth. But you must have stand “gidigba.”
